Lodge Cast Iron Blacklock Skillet

A great introduction to cast-iron cooking for first-time users, the Lodge Blacklock Skillet is 25% lighter the the traditional Lodge Round Skillet. Cast in a relatively thin, lightweight design, this skillet is lighter and easier to manoeuvre than the standard models, and features an extended raised handle, handy pouring spouts and an elevated helper handle (Note: the smaller 18cm/7″ size does not include the helper handle).
The triple seasoned surface of the Lodge Blacklock Skillet speeds up the easy-release ‘patina’ that cast iron pans build after frequent use.
Lodge products are not mass produced and are subject to subtle differences. The pan is hung and pre-seasoned with oil to provide protection and get you started. There will often be small spots where some oil hasn’t been applied (it will look like the ‘coating’ is missing – it’s just vegetable oil), and sometimes the odd oil bubble. (usually very small) Simply season using a little oil, and all will be well.
