HORL 3 Cruise Knife Sharpener
The HORL 3 Cruise Knife Sharpener delivers reliable, straightforward sharpening performance at an accessible price point. This entry-level model is perfect for those new to knife sharpening or anyone seeking quality results without premium features.
Designed with simplicity in mind, the HORL 3 Cruise features fixed diamond sharpening and stainless steel honing discs that provide consistent results without the complexity of interchangeable components. The improved magnetic angle support now offers both 15° and 20° options, making it versatile enough for both Japanese and Western knives.
The upgraded diamond sharpening disc boasts 80% more abrasive black diamonds with a uniform grinding pattern, significantly enhancing both speed and precision compared to previous models. The magnetic angle support provides 70% more grip strength, securely holding even small paring knives during the sharpening process, while its wider design offers improved comfort and control.
Environmentally conscious cooks will appreciate the eco-friendly housing made from ocean-bound recycled plastic, collected from beaches by Swiss company #tide before it could reach the ocean.
While perfect for most kitchen knives, note that the stainless steel honing disc works best with Japanese knives that have a Rockwell hardness above 60 (such as Tojiro), rather than harder options like Kai Shun, Miyabi, or Blenheim Forge. For Western knives of all types, the HORL 3 Cruise delivers excellent, reliable results every time.
